The Discovery Pack
Each two-monthly cycle focuses on a region from our regional book boxes. So by the end of the 6 cycles, you’ll (ideally) have read a book from every continent. It’s truly the easiest way to hit your diverse reading goals.
Our Discovery Pack is designed to give you a range of stories from that region. Each pack will include fiction and non-fiction options — and when possible, we’ll also include a poetry option! The books are often releases from the year and we rotate genres regularly to ensure that you’re getting the most out of your subscription.
This year, we’re looking to provide a breadth stories in our discovery pack. So buckle up, because we’ve got a great year ahead. Hit your reading goals with our Discovery Pack!
* Let us know here if you know that you only read fiction or always want nonfiction (etc. etc.) This helps us send you the books you're more likely to prefer if you don't submit the form with your choices for the cycle :)

Publishing has a diversity problem. There are less 'diverse' books being published which limits the discoverability and reach of those authors.
Representation is important. Read more about why we exist here.
I‘m a fan <3
I love the sheer variety of books that I discovered (lol) through the discovery pack and I am always anticipating Marina & Xuan’s next unique picks for the pack :)

Why did we start the Discovery Pack?
The Discovery Pack is a subscription service that delivers two books straight to your door every two months. Each cycle, we take you to a region where you’ll be able to choose from 3 books - two fiction and a poetry/non-fiction option - from authors from the region. With our curated selection of books, you can ensure that you’re reaching your reading goal without doing any of the heavy lifting.
How it works
1. We announce the books that we’ll be including in the pack every odd month.
-
2. You select your books and wait (im)patiently for their arrival.
-
3. Read, rinse, and repeat.
-
NOTE: New subscribers will start receiving the packs from the next eligible cycle, depending on the payment date.
Frequently Asked Questions
We try our best to include 2 new releases in each pack. For lesser-published regions, we go as far back as a year to ensure that you’re getting the most diverse set of books we have to offer.
We wanted to give you space to read as you please, especially if you’re like us and am a mood reader. Instead of rushing to read your monthly book, we want to make sure that you have the space (mentally and on your TBR) for your books before diving in.
Subscriptions renew at the same time on the same day every two months. So, if you ordered your first pack on the 14th of December, you will next be charged on the 14th of February.
If you select a one year subscription:
Your subscription will not automatically renew. This means you’ll have to repurchase the pack if you'd like to continue receiving them.
If you select an ongoing subscription:
Your subscription will keep rolling over until you cancel it.
Yes you can! If you’d like to cancel your subscription, you can do so via your customer account. If you are having issues don’t hesitate to email us and we can get it sorted for you.
If you’d like to delay a cycle, email us at info@amplifybookstore.com and we will do it for you!
Got a question that we haven't not answered? Email us at info@amplifybookstore.com and we’ll get back to you as soon as possible.
About the books
The Discovery Pack is a great way to discover new authors, genres and books. Each cycle, we hand-pick each new release title with the aim of offering you a diverse range. Each cycle will include two fiction titles, one non fiction or poetry.
*We are, unfortunately, at the mercy of the publishers. We select each cycle’s theme based on what region has the widest selection. Some regions might have titles up to a year old due to availability.

An anti-racist social enterprise bookstore specialising in BIPOC books.
Only about 11% of books published are by BIPOC authors — so unless you specifically seek out books by BIPOC authors, you aren't likely to find very many of them organically. At Amplify, BIPOC authors are highlighted and celebrated. Here, they don't have to fight to be seen, and you don't have to fight to find them.
We hope that in our shop, you can discover a new favourite read, find stories that speak uniquely to you, learn about a culture outside your own (or more about your own histories), and gain a better understanding of the systems that connect us all.
