Our reading room
Above our shopfront you'll find our reading room, a quiet sanctuary in the city where you can take a moment to relax. Our reading room is available to everyone to read, study, or hang out with friends.
Hire details
Our reading room is available for hire for small gatherings, events, book clubs and more. It fits roughly 25 people, and includes sofas to lounge on and a small balcony with outside seating.
Please note that we are not a licensed venue. Alcohol is not permitted in the venue.

- $50/hr during opening hours (+GST)
- $80/hr outside of opening hours (+GST)

Accessibility at Amplify
Our reading room is accessed by a small spiral staircase. Unfortunately, there are no lifts on the premises.
There are two steps leading into the shop and two steps inside the shop that take you to the counter and the non-fiction section. We have a sturdy foldable ramp that can be placed for anyone who requires it for these steps.
