BIPOC stands for Black, Indigenous, and People of Colour. People of Colour is basically an umbrella term for non-white, while the B & I acknowledge the different histories & oppressions that Black & Indigenous people have & continue to face.
To us, representation means that everyone can see themselves reflected in the media they consume.

Orders, shipping, & returns
Orders over $100 are automatically eligible for free standard shipping in Australia.
For orders under $95, shipping is calculated by weight. We aim to charge you as fairly as possible.
For express shipping, select Express Shipping when checking out.
Within Australia, we aim to get orders packed and shipped within 3-5 business days.
Shipping times vary throughout the country, but here is a rough guideline:
METRO MELBOURNE: 3-5 business days
REGIONAL VIC: 5-7 business days
INTERSTATE: Up to 7-10 business days
All orders include tracked shipping.

Orders can be cancelled up to 24hours after the order has been placed. You can cancel your order via your customer account or email us.

We try our best to ensure that your book arrives safely. Please contact us with pictures of your order in the condition that you received it and we’ll get you sorted out!

We would suggest checking in with your publisher or supplier. Most of the information on our product pages comes from data supplied by publishers.

As a small business, we have limited resources and funding.
Nonetheless, we’re working to expand our list to include even more books, especially from regions that we’re lacking in. Thank you for your patience while we look to get in more titles.

Pre-loved
We stock both Amplify titles and non-Amplify titles in our Pre-loved collection. More often than not, you can find old or out of print titles there!
Sometimes, books come to us damaged. So instead of returning them to the distributors where they’ll get pulped, we sell them at a discounted rate in our Pre-Loved section. These books usually come with a dent or bend in the cover that makes them unfit for sale, but are perfectly fine otherwise.
We do! If you have books by BIPOC authors that you are looking to get rid of, email us and we’ll get you sorted. We ask for pictures and the condition the books are in to make sure they’re suitable for our store, so make sure you have these ready!
We’ll arrange a drop off point in your area and pay for shipping. Parcels will be shipped by our preferred courier, Sendle, where possible.
Sustainability
We use Hero Packaging mailers, which are home-compostable and made from renewable resources.
If you don’t have a home compost bin, we suggest reusing them to send another parcel before tossing them in the bin or your local compost bin.
Our boxes are made from 80% recycled materials and sourced using responsible forestry practices. They are 100% recyclable, and can be reused!
We also reuse the boxes that books are delivered to us in to maximise their lifespan.
We use water-activated tape that is 100% recyclable, so you don’t have to rip it off before chucking our packaging in the recycling bin.
Our packing peanuts come from our distributors and are biodegradable. Just put them in water and watch them dissolve!
Our stickers, thank you cards and bookmarks are printed with Sustainable Printing Co. They are printed with environmentally friendly ink and on 100% recycled paper.
Our tissue paper is printed by NoIssue using soy-based inks. The paper is FSC Certified and acid free.
We source our Hex Wrap from Hero Packaging. They're 100% recyclable and compostable.
